Insights in The Chemical Composition of Graphene Oxide <i>via</i> A Simple and Versatile Fluorescent Labelling Method

Graphene oxide (GO) is a promising 2D material with complex chemical structure which characterization remains as challenge. The widely-accepted of GO includes epoxides, hydroxyls and carboxylic acids. Recently, alkene groups have been used for selective functionalization. Despite the different efforts that exist to elucidate exact structure, composition main functionalities fairly limited. By knowing composition, strategies can be developed create improved GO-based materials. Herein, we reported simple versatile fluorescent approach based on fluorescamine quantification functionalities. This method offers important advantages such highly selectivity, reliability, rapid in bulk extended follow any primary amine containing molecule grafted onto GO.
